Richmond POWER Photovoice Events

The POWER Project has completed photovoice events at all 5 of the participating Richmond housing communities. At these events, residents are invited to view the photos and captions created by participants from their communities. Participants who choose to do so share their stories and what the photos represent to them. Residents then engage in a collective discussion about strengths and challenges in the physical environment within their community and how those factors shape access to nutritious foods and safe spaces to be physically active. These discussions generate ideas for how residents can come together to advocate for positive changes in their community.
